Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore (CMC Vellore) is an educational and research institute and a tertiary care hospital located at Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the prominent and well known medical destinations in India, having reputations nationally and internationally.It is also one of the top ranked medical colleges in India. CMC-Vellore was established in 1918, and is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and is a Christian minority, non-capitation fee institution.

Intake:
100 MBBS seats of which
- 16 seats are for open category (20% within this reserved for SC/ST
- 1 seat for central pool scheme
- Remaining 84 seats are sponsored candidates.

Admission Process:
The MBBS admission will be based on the following actions:
1. All candidates wishing to apply to CMC-Vellore must first write UG NEET 2017.
2. Submit UG NEET 2017 score on CMC website by 17th June 2017
3. Computer Based Test - UG NEET 2017 qualified applicants will have to undergo an objective assessment of their general ability for which purpose a Computer Based Test, Step 1 - Aptitude assessment will be conducted.  (Refer Test cities to check the cities this aptitude test will be conducted)
4. Special Test  & Interview: Candidates will be short-listed for Step-2 at Vellore, based on UG NEET 2017 scores and Step 1 - Aptitude assessment test. Step 2 consists of special tests to assess the candidate’s character and suitability which will be held only in Vellore.

Service Obligation:
All candidates admitted to the various courses will have to undertake a service obligation, to work in an area of need for a period of two years after completion of training.

- Hostel fee: Rs. 6000/- (men) & Rs. 4000/- (women)
