Bharati Vidyapeeth, the parent organization of Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune is one of the largest educational organizations in the country. It has 171 educational units under its umbrella including 67 Colleges and Institutes of conventional and professional disciplines. It attained Deemed University status in 1996. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has campuses in Pune, Mumbai, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Karad and New Delhi, the capital city of India. Its two Medical Colleges are located each in Pune and Sangli.

The admissions to various programs are done via B-MAT entrance conducted usually in March.
