Note: Students have an option to exit with a 3-year degree B.A. and B.Sc. instead of a 4-years B.A.(Hons) and B.Sc. (Hons) degree.  This exit option is not available for the BSc. BEd program.

Azim Premji University (APU) is a private university located in Bengaluru.  Azim Premji University is funded by the Azim Premji Foundation and is set up as a fully philanthropic and not-for-profit entity, with a clear social purpose.  Azim Premji is the founder (and non-executive chairman) of IT giant Wipro. The university has 5 schools and a University-wide research center: School of Education, School of Development, School of Policy & Governance, School of Arts & Sciences, School of Continuing Education & Univ Resource Centre, and the Research Centre.

The four-year programme’s curriculum is divided into five key components:

1. Disciplinary Major (Sciences | Social Sciences | Humanities)
2. Occupational Minor (Inter-disciplinary themes)
3. Common Curriculum (Foundational capacities)
4. Flexible Credits (with option of a Disciplinary Minor)
5. Research or Internship (in the 4th year of Study)

The 4-Year UG dual degree program in Science and Education awards a BSc-BEd. degree. The components consist of Common Curriculum, Disciplinary courses (Life sciences, Physical Sciences or Mathematics), and Courses in Education.

Students also have to go through a semester-long field internship as part of the dual-degree program.
In the Sciences, the students can choose either:
- Biology
- Physics
- Mathematics

In Education, students would develop:
- Educational judgement through perspective courses
- Skills to teach effectively through courses in curriculum and pedagogy
- A thorough grounding in school practice.

Admission Cycles: Admissions open for Undergraduate Programme in two windows:
- First Admissions (November - December)
- Regular Admissions (January - April)

Fees:
- The tuition fees for the 4-year degree is Rs.13,91,200
- Accommodation is Rs.3,20,000 for 4 years

- Food expense is approx.. Rs.5000-Rs.6000 per month

- Expenses up to INR 1,20,000 over the four-year period towards Internship/?field projects and other academic expenses for required courses.

- There is no other fee or deposit charged for the library, laboratory, IT facilities, examinations, books, etc.

Financial assistance: The University offers extensive need-based Scholarships (Financial Assistance) covering tuition fees and accommodation
