Are you a
>> Science student but don’t particularly like Physics? or
>> Commerce / Humanities student with an analytical mind? or
>> Have Mathematics in Class 11 or 12?
With the growing influence of internet , the demand for people with a combination of skills in Mathematics, Commercial data analytics and Humanities is on the rise. More and more students are riding this wave and opting for niche courses in these areas. In fact, many top rankers in JEE are now opting for UG & Integrated programs in pure sciences or maths. Interestingly, admission to some of these courses does not require Physics as a mandatory subject – a subject that some find pretty dry. Last but not the least, for admission to some of these programmes, one doesn’t need to have studied science subjects in 10+2 !
In the first part of this blog, we will explore five such programs.

1. B.Tech (IT & Mathematical Innovations) in University of Delhi
A fantastic one of its kind B.Tech program where students of any stream can apply as long as the candidate has studied Mathematics in 10+2 (qualifying exam).
The B.Tech in IT & Mathematical Innovation is offered at the Cluster Innovation Centre of the Delhi University. Building strong analytical skills through Mathematics and application skills of Information Technology (IT), this course encourages students to recognize the connectedness of various disciplines. The course aims to produce adequately skilled graduates with a creative mindset who can provide new solutions to industry in particular and to society in general.
The course offers three specialization streams – Management, Electronics & Embedded System and Systems Biology – important fields of education with significant interface with Mathematics and IT.
