NTA starts JEE Mains 2026 applications
Application process for Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Mains 2026) has been started by National Testing Agency (NTA). It will be conducted in 2 Sessions spread over multiple days in the month of Jan and April.
JEE (Mains) is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded/recognized by several participating State Governments, and several other Institutions.
It is also an eligibility test for the JEE-Advanced, which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.
Humanities & Commerce Students eligible: Important to note that students of any stream who have passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) with 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in aggregate of the qualifying examination are eligible to attempt JEE-Mains Paper 2B and thereby get admission in B.Planning course even in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs.

Please note that JEE Mains 2026 Session-1 dates clash/overlap with date of Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam AEEE Phase 1 (30 Jan – 1 Feb 2026).
