The Council of Architecture has announced the application and examination schedule for NATA-2020 Second Test. And in view of the situation arising out of COVID-19 Pandemic and consequent directives of the Government of India, the Council of Architecture has also introduced many changes for the 2020 admissions in B.Arch programme.

Last date to upload image, pay fee, make application correction & print confirmation page : 4 Sep 2020

Publication of Admit Card : 9 Sep 2020

Date of exam : 12 Sep 2020

Relaxed eligibility (for 2020)

a) Passed 10+2 scheme of examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) OR Passed 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics.

b) The candidates who have qualified the aptitude test, i.e., NATA or JEE, with pass percentage in 10+2 scheme of examination with PCM or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics shall be eligible for admission to B.Arch course for the academic session 2020-21.

Note : This relaxed criteria is valid for the academic session 2020-21 only, irrespective of the year in which a candidate has passed the 10+2 or 10+3 examination.

Test in Online mode only : NATA will be completely Online. Earlier, Part A (Drawing Aptitude) was planned to be conducted in Offline (pen-and-paper) mode, while the Part B (Test on Scientific Ability & General Aptitude) was anyway Online.

Change in syllabus

a) Part A (Drawing Aptitude) will also be conducted in Online mode instead of offline mode

b) Part A will now be judged on the following aspects : Understanding the important visual principles in a composition (2D OR 3D) such as balance, rhythm, direction, hierarchy, etc. Understanding geometry and the ability to visualize shape and solve geometrical puzzles to test spatial intelligence; Understanding color theory and the various terminologies to test color scheme awareness and knowledge; Visual system interpretation and perception to test graphical similarities and other properties; Ability to understand spatial relationship between objects, and to visualize images and scenarios; Tests for cognitive ability: perception, attention, recognition, memory etc.
