Madras School of Economics Admissions for 5-Yr Integrated MA in Economics Program Ongoing

Madras School of Economics (MSE), recognized as an Institution of Special Importance by the Government of Tamil Nadu, has opened admissions for its prestigious 5-Year Integrated MA in Economics program for the academic year 2025-26. Students can choose to exit after 3 years with a BA (Honors) or after 4 years with a BA (Honors with Research), awarded under the MSE Act 2020.

MSE, headed by Dr. C. Rangarajan (former RBI Governor and Chairman of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council), is one of India’s top-ranked economics institutions. Known for its rigorous, analytical, and data-driven curriculum, the program is ideal for students aiming for careers in industry, public policy, or further academic pursuits in India and abroad.

>> Eligibility Highlights: • Students must have passed (or be appearing for) 10+2 exams in 2025 with mathematics at the senior secondary level.
• Minimum marks: 65% (General), 60% (OBC - Non-Creamy Layer), 50% (SC/ST/PwD).
• Applicants must be under 22 years of age as of July 1, 2025.

>> Entrance Test Pattern: • CBSE 12th Standard Mathematics – 50 Marks
• English Language – 25 Marks
• Aptitude Test – 25 Marks

The entrance exam will be conducted across multiple cities nationwide, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and others.

>> Other Details:
• Intake: 80 seats (with Tamil Nadu and Foreign Nationals' reservation)
• Fee: ?60,000 per semester + ?30,000 one-time infrastructure fee.
