Published on : 17-Sep-2020 Powered by www.Opasis.comThe Indraprastha of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D) has relaxed the admission criteria for their B.Tech in Computer Science and Design (CSD) and B.Tech in Computer Science and Social Sciences (CSSS) programs.
IIIT-D offers multiple B.Tech Programs which include:
» Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
» Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE)
» Computer Science and Applied Mathematics (CSAM)
» Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (CSAI)
» Computer Science and Design (CSD)
» Computer Science and Social Sciences (CSSS)
» Computer Science and Biosciences (CSB)
The admission to all the programs except CSSS and CSD is done by the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) of Delhi based on the JEE (Main) score of the candidate.
Admissions to B.Tech CSD and B.Tech CSSS follow a slightly different admission process.
B.Tech in CSD: 50% intake is through JEE Main Scores. The remaining 50% is through UCEED 2020 score.
For the intake via UCEED, the institute has modified the eligibility as follows:
>> Relaxed criteria: 70% (instead of 80%) marks in aggregate for five subjects and 70% (instead of 80%) in Maths in class XII from CBSE Board or equivalent.
>> And should have done schooling from a school located in the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.
B.Tech in CSSS: 100% intake through Class 12 marks.
>> Approximately half of the seats for this program will be filled through joint admission counseling (JAC) – through which students who have taken science in class XII must apply. For the remaining seats, only students who have done Maths but have not done Physics and Chemistry in class XII can apply – this application will be done differently and the admission will be based on class XII marks – as is done in many universities like DU and AUD.
>> Relaxed criteria: 70% (instead of 80%) marks in aggregate for five subjects and 70% (instead of 80%) in Maths in class XII from CBSE Board or equivalent provided he/she is not eligible to appear for JEE Mains 2020. Candidates having Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in class XII are not eligible to apply through this mode.
Note:
- SC/ST candidates get 10% relaxation in marks.
- Defence (CW), PwD and OBC candidates: A relaxation of 5 percent marks in the eligibility requirements for the seats reserved for them.
There is no marks relaxation for EWS category candidates.
