BTech (Biotechnology) : Non-JEE Direct Admissions in UIET, MD University Rohtak

University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak, invites applications for Direct Admission in BTech (Biotechnoloy) in 2018-19 session.

Basis of admission

a) Admission during central counseling shall be made on the basis of inter-se-merit of JEE Mains 2018. Remaining unfilled / vacant seats of central counseling shall be filled by the institute, firstly by the candidates who have studied only Biology and thus could not take JEE Mains exam. Inter-se-merit of such candidates shall be calculated on the basis of marks of Physics, Biology, Chemistry / Biotech / Computer Science.

b) 50% seats in UIET, MD Univ Rohtak and 50% seats in UIET, Kurukshetra Uiv Kurukshetra of their intake in BTech (Biotech) shall be filled by candidates who have studied only Biology and thus could not take JEE Mains. Inter-se-merit of such candidates shall be calculated on the basis of marks of Physics, Biology, Chemistry / Biotech / Computer Science. These seats may be filled by the respective Universities in parallel to online counseling for BTech course.    

Eligibility

a) Pass in 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects along with any one of Chemistry / Biotech / Computer Science

b) Score atleast 45% marks (42.75% in case of candidates belonging to Sc category) in the above subjects.

First counseling (category wise) : 4 July 2018

Second counseling (category wise) : 6 July 2018

Third counseling (open if seats remain vacant) : 10 July 2018

Fourth counseling open on-spot admission, if seats remain vacant) : 17 July 2018
