Apply Now - JoSAA 2024 For IITs, NITs, IIITS, IIEST, GFTIs

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2024, set up by the Ministry of Education, has started online registrations for joint seat allocation for admissions to 121 institutes for the academic year 2024-25. This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 40 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform.

Admission criteria

a) IITs: JEE Advanced 2024

b) All other participating institutes: JEE Main Paper I for BE/BTech and Paper II for BArch

Participating institutes

a) IITs – Total 23

b) NITs – Total 31

c) IIEST – Total 1 (IIEST Shibpur)

d) IIITs – Total 26

e) Other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) – Total 40

Who can participate in JoSAA: Each and every candidate who satisfies one or more of the following criteria is eligible for participation in joint seat allocation:

(A) Criterion (i): Qualified in JEE (Advanced)-2024 for academic programs [excluding the preparatory courses] at IITs.

AND

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria as given in Annexure 2(a) in the brochure.

(B) Criterion(ii): Qualified in JEE (Advanced)-2024 for preparatory courses at IITs

AND

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria as given in Annexure 2(a) in the brochure.

(C) Criterion (iii): Secured a rank in JEE (Main)-2024 B.E./B.Tech. Paper for B.E./B.Tech. programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and Other-GFTIs

AND

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria as given in Annexure 2(b) in the brochure.

(D) Criterion (iv): Secured a rank in JEE (Main)-2024 B.Arch. Paper for B.Arch. programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and Other-GFTIs.

AND

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria as given in Annexure 2(b) in the brochure.

(E) Criterion (v): Secured a rank in JEE (Main)-2024 B.Planning Paper for B. Planning programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and Other-GFTIs.

AND

satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria as given in Annexure 2(b) in the brochure.

Open House: Open house is being conducted in different modes at some IITs, the first one being by IIT Bhubaneswar on 14 Jun 2024. Please check the OPEN HOUSE SCHEDULE and register for the same using the link provided therein.
